God’s provision!

The Bible tells us that God will always provide for us.

In Matthew’s gospel Jesus makes it clear that He can be relied upon to provide for us materially. “So do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’… for your Heavenly Father knows that you need them.” (Matt. 6:31-32).

In John’s gospel Jesus assures us that He provides for us emotionally. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27).

And in the beginning of Acts we are shown that Jesus provides for us spiritually by sending the Holy Spirit. “…wait for the gift my Father promised…you will receive power when the Holy spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:4&8).

When asked what God’s provision means in their own lives, a number of our readers replied:

“Every time I begin to lose sight of God’s presence in my life and His interest in me as a person, He has provided me with encouragement that He is a real and loving God.”

“Last year we were involved in a boating accident. We have no doubt about God’s presence in that whole event from when it happened to the eventual recovery of all involved. That very Sunday evening my devotions were from Psalm 55, particularly v17. At the end it was written, “God is always available to hear the prayer of His child.” What reassurance of God’s provision in every detail of our lives.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“His provision for me is absolutely complete for every area of my life, every moment in my life, in every situation I ever have to face. I only have to learn to trust Him and rest in His amazing, all sufficient provision.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“The assurance that God is in complete control and really is ‘all I need’, especially when there seems to be no way out of difficult times or situations. He will always bring you through.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“He is always with me just ‘where I’m at’ and gives me the peace and security that nothing else can give and no-one but a fellow Christian can understand.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“Knowing His presence 24/7.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“Not needing to worry, knowing God knows my needs and cares of me and my family.”

……………………………………………………………………………………

“How wonderful His love is toward me and how great and awesome God is.”
